John Gillen spent six years on BlackRock’s Aladdin platform in Client Services and Relationship Management. He specialized in the Front Office space, supporting industry-leading portfolio managers, traders, and risk officers. He developed a reputation as an excellent people manager, at one point directly supervising twenty analysts across six offices in North America.
John studied Systems Engineering and Economics at the University of Virginia and the Economics of Digital Assets at The Wharton School of Business. He has consulted for several successful Web3 projects and spent nearly two years as a writer for the Discover Crypto YouTube Channel. He is a co-founder and General Partner of TRU Capital, an institutional-grade digital asset-focused investment fund where he also serves as Head of Research. He is passionate about making macroeconomics and digital assets engaging and accessible to all investors.
